After trying many different whisks, we’ve found this one to be the best non-bamboo option. While a traditional bamboo Chasen will still give you the finest, most delicate foam, this resin whisk wins for everyday ease, especially when it comes to cleaning.
For cafés or home kitchens, it’s a great choice for cold whisking with milk, iced matcha, or lattes, where quick cleanup is a must. The whisk can be taken apart for a thorough wash, and it’s wonderfully hygienic for frequent use.
After use, the whisk’s outer tips can be removed from the handle for easy cleaning. Wash thoroughly, reassemble, and place on the stand. Rinsing with hot water helps keep it hygienic and maintain its shape.

This versatile resin whisk is perfect not only for preparing matcha but also for mixing a variety of ingredients such as oils, dairy, and eggs, making it a handy tool for many culinary uses.
How To Use
After use, simply detach the outer prongs from the handle, wash thoroughly, then reassemble and restore its shape by pouring boiling water over it. This simple step keeps the whisk looking and performing like new for a long time.
If you’d like to use the dishwasher, simply place it on its stand first, this helps it keep its shape and be ready for your next pour.
What is Chasen?
Chasen is a tea whisk, one of the tea utensils used in the tea ceremony to make matcha (powdered green tea). Chasen has many prongs which enable you to whisk a bowl of smooth and frothy matcha into a tea bowl. Most of the chasen is made of bamboo, but the type and colour of bamboo used differs depending on the school.

ABOUT THE MAKER
Simply Native Original | Sourced Across Japan
Simply Native works directly with tea producers and artisans to create and curate pieces that sit outside mass production — from small-batch teas and matcha to ceramics developed exclusively for us.
Founder Yukino, trained in the Urasenke school of tea, spent over four years developing our first ceremonial blend. Grounded in the art of blending, it is designed for depth, balance, and clarity, equally suited to drinking straight or as a latte.
Each tea and object is shaped through collaboration with artisans in Japan. Our collection evolves through seasonal releases, with limited works produced in close partnership with makers. Nothing is incidental, each piece reflects material, timing, and long-term relationships.
