Dainichi-Gama '大日窯' has a defining style. It is the production of ceramics made with ash glaze, which mainly consists of ash from burning plants. Near Kanshuji Temple in Kyoto, a father and son run a kiln where they create works of art using glazes made from various plants and unique techniques involving pigments. Their creations stand out for their originality and intriguing style. There is a sunflower field next to their kiln, and the owner uses the ashes of sunflowers he has grown to make glazes. Additionally, they produce their own natural ash glazes by burning plants such as grapes, sunflowers, and figs, resulting in unique colours that vary with each material used.
