At HIYORI FACTORY, each Higashi is carefully crafted using hand-carved wooden moulds and premium, handmade Wasanbon sugar from Awa. Pressed one by one, these delicate sweets reflect the artistry and quiet beauty of Japanese confectionery tradition.

Hoko-san & Plum (2 Piece)
Takamatsu hariko(paper-made) "Hoko-san doll" is believed to cure illness.It is modeled after the servant,Omaki, who passed the illness from princess to herself and saved the life of the princess.In Japan,red color is said to chase off disease,so it is popular as guardian god.
This Wasanbon set combines the festive image of Takamatsu and Hoko-san doll which is carefully painted one by one.Wasanbon with red-white plum and pine is also recommended as a Hikigashi(gift snack).
