Variations

A special method of 'Awa' (it means bubble in Japanese) design is employed to create a sparkling effect in the ceramic, reminiscent of viewing the water's surface from beneath the sea. Each bubble is meticulously hand-finished, although variations in appearance may occur from piece to piece.

By serving dishes with the 'Awa' series tableware, you can enhance the sense of special occasion. This tableware series has become popular in Japanese onsen ryokans (Japanese traditional rest house) and Japanese restaurants. Its design, which particularly evokes the purity of water, becomes even more delightful when incorporated into seafood dishes or summer course meals.
