Matcha means powered green tea. In fact, matcha has a higher level of antioxidant than green tea brewing from tea leaves as you actually consume the tea leaves in powered form when you drink matcha. So it has excellent anti-aging property and many other health benefits.
Matcha recognised as ceremonial grade by tea masters is given poetic names that reflect its essence. Shohaku '松柏' can be translated as 'Pine & Oak.'
Shohaku is a mid-level ceremonial grade matcha that can be served as a beverage by itself. You will enjoy its smooth sweetness with rich and deep flavour. This special blend 'Shohaku' is a recommended blend by the current tea master of Urasenke school of tea for everyone to enjoy daily intake of quality matcha tea.
