Collection: Katazome Takada | 型染工房たかだ
Katazome Takada is a stencil-dyeing workshop in Yugawara, Kanagawa, run by second-generation dyer Chōta Takada.
Chōta learned the craft over about 15 years working alongside his father, founder Masahiko Takada (1947–2018), who in 1970 became a live-in apprentice to Living National Treasure Keisuke Serizawa. Each piece is dyed by hand, one at a time, as katazome that is practical, beautiful and made for everyday life.
