The Sydney Kuro Bar & Dining project began with conversations with Taka Teramoto, the owner-chef of Kuro. This newly opened restaurant in Sydney is a place where the Japanese-born chef blends his culinary roots with inspirations from his global travels. To support his dedication to tradition and his unique vision, we proposed using Copper tiles by Orii.
To create depth in the space, a gradient was applied to each panel. The colour and ratio were carefully discussed through multiple meetings between the designer, Orii, and Simply Native.
Each bespoke tile, precisely cut to 0.1mm, is installed on the bar counter.
