How to Make Matcha?


Usucha (Straight Matcha Tea)

Matcha: 2g
Hot water: 60ml at 85°C
Whisk time: 10 seconds

Method:

1.Sift 2g of matcha into a bowl

2.Add 60ml of hot water (85°C)

3.Whisk vigorously for 10 seconds in a zigzag motion until frothy


Matcha Latte (Hot)

Matcha: 3g
Hot water: 50ml at 85°C
Optional: 3g of sugar
Milk: 200ml hot milk
Whisk time: 10 seconds

Method:

1.Sift 3g of matcha into a bowl

2.Add 50ml of hot water (85°C)

3.(Optional) Add 3g of sugar

4.Whisk for 10 seconds

5.Pour in 200ml of hot milk


Matcha Latte (Iced)

Matcha: 4g
Hot water: 40ml at 85°C
Optional: 4g of sugar
Milk: 180ml chilled milk
Ice: Add to serving glass
Whisk time: 10 seconds

Method:

1.Sift 4g of matcha into a bowl

2.Add 40ml of hot water (85°C)

3.(Optional) Add 4g of sugar

4.Whisk for 10 seconds

5.Pour over 180ml of chilled milk in a glass with ice
