How to Make Hojicha from Hojicha Powder?


Straight Hojicha Tea

Hojicha powder: 2g
Hot water: 150ml at 85°C
Stir time: 10 seconds

Method:

1.Sift 2g of Hojicha powder into a cup or bowl

2.Add 150ml of hot water (85°C)

3.Stir well to dissolve


Hojicha Latte (Hot)

Hojicha powder: 3g
Hot water: 50ml at 85°C
Optional: 6g of sugar
Milk: 150ml hot milk
Stir time: 10 seconds

Method:

1.Add 3g of Hojicha powder to 50ml of hot water (85°C)

2.Stir well to dissolve

3.(Optional) Add 6g of sugar and mix until fully dissolved

4.Pour in 150ml of hot milk


Hojicha Latte (Iced)

Hojicha powder: 4g
Hot water: 50ml at 85°C
Optional: 8g of sugar
Milk: 150ml chilled milk
Ice: Add to serving glass
Stir time: 10 seconds

Method:

1.Add 4g of Hojicha powder to 50ml of hot water (85°C)

2.Stir well to dissolve

3.(Optional) Add 8g of sugar and mix until fully dissolved

4.Pour 150ml of chilled milk into a glass with ice
