We source our specially-selected architectural materials, which have been inspiring architects and designers around the world, from Japan.

At this pop-up showroom, we will showcase over 15 top quality brands for the first time in Australia which you can also reserve one-off materials on site.

The showroom will feature unique, traditional Japanese ceramics and homewares, as well as wall tiles and metal surfaces and more!

Hands-on workshops & Demonstrations

Mini Moss Garden Workshop


4 November (Wed) 10:30am-12:30pm

In this variation of a kokedama or moss ball, we’ll create a mini Japanese garden in a 30cm×20cm flat bamboo tray. Perfect for adding instant zen in your room or work desk! We’ll be using sunagoke moss, a self-sustainable moss that has high tolerance to dryness and feeds on CO2 and air pollutants to grow. It’s fuss-free and easy to take care of.

Art Kintsugi with Yoko


5 October (Thu) 1pm-4pm

At this hands-on 3 hrs workshop, you will learn the Art Kintsugi method which follows the principle of traditional Kintsugi using alternative, more accessible materials that enable us to complete the whole process within the duration of the class. The aim is to create your original piece of art whilst contemplating and enjoying a mindful moment.

Ohara-school Ikebana demonstration


7 November (Sat) 2:30pm-3:30pm

At this 1 hr collaborative demonstration, you’ll learn the basic techniques and principles of Ohara-school Ikebana (flower arrangement) by the teacher Mrs. Kuniko Nakano using Simply Native’s item collections.
