Kissako is a ceremonial grade matcha crafted for those new to matcha as well as those looking to go a little deeper.
Compared to Kunpu, Kissako has a nuttier, greener profile. A mellow bitterness is balanced by a gentle roasted aroma and a refreshing finish reminiscent of fresh spring leaves.
Its distinct character stands out beautifully when paired with milk or used in sweets, making it ideal for both traditional and modern matcha moments.
Beautifully aromatic with a smooth texture, it offers a gentle sweetness that unfolds slowly as you sip—calm and rounded, never harsh.
Kissako invites you to discover matcha’s depth in the most approachable way.

Simply Native Original Matcha
At Simply Native, matcha is more than just a drink—it’s a craft.
Founder Yukino, a student of the Urasenke school of tea, spent over four years perfecting our first ceremonial grade matcha. At its heart is the art of blending: combining carefully selected tea leaves to create depth, harmony, and richness in every sip.
We set out to create a matcha that’s both beautifully flavourful and comfortably priced. Whether you enjoy it straight or as a latte, its bold, balanced taste holds up wonderfully.
To honour the spirit of this matcha, we collaborated with Keiho Nakahara, a traditional woodcarver from Saga, Japan, and Melinda Heal, a textile artist from Canberra. Together, they helped bring meaning and story to each tin.
