The most fundamental part of pruning is using branch cutters to remove any unhealthy and dead branches.

An easy way to spot one is if the branch…

・slopes downwards

・is upside-down (grows in the opposite direction)

・crosses the trunk from the front-on view

・protrudes towards the front

2. Watering

You may think this is obvious, but bonsai have particular watering requirements.

A good rule of thumb is to water your bonsai about once a week, or when the topsoil feels completely dry, by immersing the entire pot in a bucket or basin of water.

3. Positioning

A bonsai plant will be a unique and sophisticated addition to your home decor, and bring a sense of nature and peacefulness to any room or outdoor space. Positioning is important though, so be sure to place your bonsai somewhere it can thrive.
