Most of Japanese blades are made with high carbon steel, excepting particular material description.
Like all carbon steel products, they can rust if not cared for properly.
It may seem difficult to remove rust on blade, but it’s actually quite easy.
Here is what we recommend.
All you need is power cleanser and wine cork.
1/ Wet the blade with water and place it firmly so that the blade doesn’t move.
2/ sprinkle powder cleanser evenly onto the blade.
3/ Wet the cork to scrub rusty spots.
